To facilitate foreign business expatriates working and living in China, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in collaboration with relevant government departments, have compiled A Guide to Working and Living in China as Business Expatriates (2025 Edition). The guide includes four parts, Matters Needing Attention, Daily Life Services, Services for Stay and Residence in China, and Relevant Services for Work in China, covering a wide range of issues such as residence registration, SIM cards, bank accounts, residence and work permit, social insurance, mobile payments, transportation, payment of individual income tax, and etc. Updated contents such as renminbi cash payment, visa-free transit policies in China for foreign visitors, travel permit application to the Chinese mainland for Hong Kong and Macao SARs residents(non-Chinese nationality), making the document a resourceful reference to foreign business expatriates working and living in China.
