Hubei unveils ice, snow sports tourism routes

Hubei kicked off ice and snow sports consumption season on Dec. 21, 2025, at the Ganlu Mountain Cultural and Creative City in Huangpi District, Wuhan City, unveiling four selected ice and snow sports tourism routes in the province.
These four routes respectively connect Wuhan, Wudang Mountain and Shennongjia, Huanggang and Xianning cities, as well as Three Gorges of the Yangtze River.
The season will run from Dec. 20, 2025, to Feb. 23, 2026, spanning over two months and fully covering major holiday periods including the Winter Solstice, New Year's Day, and the Spring Festival.
The head of local sports bureau introduced that over the past year, the 23 outdoor ski resorts, 4 indoor ski venues, and 17 ice rinks in Hubei have received 2.86 million tourists in total, marking a year-on-year increase of nearly 24 percent and consumption exceeding 3.1 billion yuan.
