2026 Qingdao Travel & Angling Season Kicks Off, Running from July 4 to August 30

The opening ceremony of the 2026 Qingdao Travel & Angling Season was launched at the Marine Security Center Square of Xiaogangwan Recreational Sea Angling Base on July 4.

Centered on the theme "Travel with Angling", the 2026 Travel & Angling Season runs from July 4 to August 30. It links six key wharves including Xiaogangwan Recreational Sea Angling Base, Jimiya Wharf, Yangkou Wharf, Fengshanwan Wharf, Riyuetian Wharf and Haiyifeng Wharf, forming citywide integrated Travel & Angling experience zones with multiple spots and distinctive features. Meanwhile, three categories of programs are rolled out, namely Introductory Sea Angling Experience, Premium Sea Angling Travel and Professional Elite Angling Program. Besides, exclusive cross-border sea angling benefits, consumption discounts for local merchants and surprise awards from the Most Popular Participant Contest are available, showcasing the unique charm of coastal travel & angling in Qingdao in one stop.

Zhang Jiacheng, President of the Travel & Angling Branch of China Recreational Angling Association and Qingdao Recreational Sea Angling Industry Association, stated that this year’s Travel & Angling Season serves as a core carrier for the implementation of Qingdao’s “Three-Rod” Coastal Wellness & Vacation Brand, as well as a vivid practice driving two-way integration between marine industries and cultural tourism consumption. The event enables visitors to shift from "admiring the sea from the shore" to "embracing the sea aboard angling boats", allowing them to experience Qingdao’s exclusive marine cultural charm through diverse activities including angling, coastal sightseeing and seafood feasts.

Reservation services for the Xiaogangwan venue of the Travel & Angling Season are now open. Visitors and citizens may check wharf routes, book offshore trips and select preferred marine experiences via official ticketing platforms and mini-programs to unlock brand-new coastal summer pastimes.

The event is guided by the Qingdao Culture and Tourism Bureau and the Qingdao Municipal Marine Development Bureau, hosted by the Travel & Angling Branch of China Recreational Angling Association and Qingdao Recreational Sea Angling Industry Association, and co-organized by CAISSA TOURISM GROUP CO.,LTD, in partnership with Qingdao West Coast Sports Industry Development Group, Qingdao Ocean Holdings Marine Culture & Tourism Group and Qingdao Laoshan Tourism Group.
