2026 ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Finals to Kick Off

Oct 20, 2026

Chengdu  2026.10.21 - 2026.10.25

From October 21 to 25, the 2026 ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Finals will be held at Sichuan International Tennis Center.
As one of the highest-level junior tennis events under the International Tennis Federation (ITF), the event was jointly launched by Chengdu and the ITF in 2015. It is Chengdu’s homegrown sporting event and is acclaimed as a “cradle of world champions”. Four Grand Slam champions—Jeļena Ostapenko, Sofia Kenin, Elena Rybakina, and Markéta Vondroušová—started their professional careers here.
The finals feature a stellar lineup of players.
Chinese women’s singles tennis player Sun Xinran, the youngest player to reach the round of 32 at the China Open main draw and the first player born in 2010 or later to win a main-draw match at a WTA 1000 event, is undoubtedly one of the most closely watched contenders at the finals. She is set to make a strong push for the finals title in Chengdu.

Other women’s singles contestants include Anna Pushkareva, who defeated Sun Xinran to win the Wimbledon girls’ singles title, and Ksenia Efremova, the Australian Open girls’ singles champion this year. Additionally, Jana Kovackova and Zhang Ruien, both of whom competed at the 2025 ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Finals in Chengdu, are on the list, with Zhang Ruien named as an alternate this year.
The boys’ field is equally packed with top junior rising stars from around the world: Jordan Lee came through qualifying at this year’s Wimbledon boys’ singles event and went on to claim the title; Jamie Mackenzie won the boys’ doubles title at the French Open and holds a J500 boys’ singles title; Ziga Sesko, a 2026 Wimbledon boys’ doubles champion, and Keaton Hance, a 2025 US Open boys’ doubles champion, will join the competition.

The finals will run for five days. The round-robin matches will be held from October 21 to 23, where rising stars will compete for a place in the next round. From October 24 to 25, the semi-finals will be held, featuring a series of high-stakes showdowns to determine the champions, runners-up, and third-place finishers.
