In his address, Feng Wei, Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group of the Hubei Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, stated that forging a new era hometown for overseas Chinese is a strategic measure to unite their hearts, pool their wisdom, and leverage their strengths. He noted that Tianmen, as the largest inland hometown for overseas Chinese, possesses a significant opportunity to boost its internal momentum and achieve leapfrog development by advancing this initiative. He emphasized the need to continuously optimize service systems for overseas Chinese, strengthen grassroots overseas Chinese federation organizations, promote information sharing, resource pooling, and coordinated action, and support overseas Chinese in actively contributing to their hometown's development.

"Currently, Tianmen is ushering in an unprecedented golden period of development, presenting the optimal timing for overseas Chinese entrepreneurs to plan for the future and invest in business ventures," said Yu Peng, Executive Vice President of the China Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Association and President of the Hubei Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Association. He called on overseas Chinese entrepreneurs to actively play their bridging role, engage deeply with Tianmen's industrial planning, and introduce advanced concepts, technologies, and business formats to assist Tianmen's industrial upgrading and open development.

Ji Daoqing, Secretary of the Tianmen Municipal Party Committee, introduced Tianmen's developmental advantages as the nation's largest inland hometown for overseas Chinese. He expressed that with significantly improved transportation conditions, a continuously strengthened industrial foundation, and an ever-expanding openness landscape, Tianmen warmly welcomes overseas Chinese to return with ideas, projects, and resources to jointly participate in building the new era hometown. Tianmen will adhere to the principle of "taking overseas Chinese as the bridge and building the bridge for overseas Chinese," continuously optimize services related to them, and ensure every returning native feels "the warmth of home."

During the meeting, several representatives from the overseas Chinese community exchanged views on jointly building the new era hometown. Fifteen projects were signed on-site, with a total agreed investment of 6.582 billion yuan. Eight individuals, including Wei Bin, Yin Qiqi, Guo Yue, and Huang Yingxin, were appointed as Overseas Investment Ambassadors for Tianmen City, which will further advance Tianmen's connections and cooperation with the international market.
