Crossing the Ocean and Going to a Double North Youth Covenant —— The Double North College Student Youth Exchange Project between Hebei Normal University and Northwest Missouri State University was Held

In order to further deepen the pragmatic cooperation in education between China and the United States, our school invited a delegation of 24 members from Northwest Missouri State University, a friendly cooperative institution, to visit China in December, and launched the "Shuangbei" college student youth exchange program between Hebei Normal University and Northwest Missouri State University. Focusing on the three themes of culture, sports and academic exchange, the project invites teachers and students of Northwest Missouri State University to "make friends with China, experience China culture and share China stories", and help young teachers and students to understand China's cultural achievements in different periods through various cultural activities and personal interaction; Measure the urban features of China at different latitudes with footsteps; Feel the delicious flavor of different regions in China with taste buds. Communicate and learn from China college students in cooperative seminars, promote the face-to-face and heart-to-heart relationship between Chinese and American teenagers, show a true, three-dimensional and comprehensive scene of China, and cultivate Chinese and American youth exchange messengers through acquaintance, mutual understanding and blind date.
On December 3rd, the welcoming ceremony of the project was held in the conference center of Hebei Normal University. Huang Sheng, secretary of the Party Committee of the school, attended the welcoming ceremony, and placed good expectations on the project to build a platform for youth exchange between China and the United States and deepen the "double North" friendship. The leaders of the International Cooperation and Exchange Center, the Youth League Committee, the College of Education, the School of Foreign Studies, the School of Mathematical Sciences, and the College of Computer and Cyber Security accompanied the participants.
Exploring Culture: Measure the Thickness of History and Culture with Footsteps
The carefully arranged cultural itinerary made the students personally feel the massiness of China's history and the charm of its culture. They explored the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven and had a dialogue with China culture through time and space; Visit the Great Wall and realize the architectural wisdom and historical beauty in the miracle of punching cards in the world; Stroll through Nanluoguxiang and trace the cultural elements of Hutong in the hustle and bustle; Feel the beauty of non-legacy, and experience the manual charm in the production of paper-cutting and internal painting; Participate in making dumplings, taste longevity noodles and experience unique food culture and birthday ceremony. With a variety of cultural projects and personal experiences, the members of the delegation have become participants and recorders of China culture.
Asked Apricot Altar: Promoting Mutual Learning and Learning Through Academic Exchanges
In this project, six professors, including TIMOTHY JASON WALL, Dean of the College of Education of Northwest Missouri State University, gave six academic lectures in combination with their own research direction; Seventeen American college students participated in 2 teacher-student exchange activities according to their major direction. More than 200 representatives of teachers and students from the College of Education, the School of Foreign Studies, the School of Mathematical Sciences, the College of Computer and Cyber Security, the College of Teacher Education, and the Department of Foreign Language Teaching and Research participated in the academic exchange activities. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on topics such as how to carry out academic training inside and outside the classroom and the education and teaching model of Chinese and American universities. 
Enjoy Sports: Deepen Cooperation and Friendship in Hard Work
The teachers and students of the project visited the physical education institute of our school and felt the charm of sports personally. In the dragon and lion dance performance, I realized the historical significance of China traditional cultural sports; In the martial arts experience, we should display youthful vitality, release sports passion and feel the contemporary inheritance and development of traditional martial arts. In the table tennis friendly match, we can feel the history and glory of sports between catching and returning the ball, and continue the table tennis friendship between China and the United States hand in hand; In the tug-of-war, sincere cooperation, rereading competition and cooperation, deepened the friendship between the two schools. Chinese and foreign teachers and students compete in the same field in sports exchanges and enjoy the beauty of sports cooperation.
Singing Youth: Using Art as a Medium to Close the Spiritual Distance
On the evening of December 4, the "Double North Covenant, Ode to Youth-Art Association between Hebei Normal University and Northwest Missouri University" was held by the Conservatory of MusicProfessor Hepworth, Gabriel and Zane of Northwest Missouri State University performed soprano solo, bassoon and xylophone respectively, and together with 13 programs including percussion War Drum, Xinjiang dance Yaliguna and Chinese Zither Shengshi Guole performed by our teachers and students, they formed a unique artistic feast. The evening party reached its peak in the Chinese and foreign chorus See you again. Chinese and foreign teachers and students took art as a link, crossed languages and national boundaries, and further narrowed the spiritual distance.

More than 200 people including responsible comrades from the school office, the International Cooperation and Exchange Center, the Conservatory of Music, the College of Physical Education, the School of Foreign Studies, the School of Mathematical Sciences, the College of Computer and Cyber Security, and representatives of Chinese and foreign teachers and students watched the evening party.
Searching for Technology: Unscramble the New Prospect of Future Development
On December 6 -7, the delegation visited Shenzhen, China Special Economic Zone, to see China's intellectual charm with the "eye of Shenzhen"; Visit Baidu Company, a technology enterprise in China, and experience the image and text recognition and processing based on big data model; Try to take a driverless car and ask about the future prospects of artificial intelligence driving; Visit Peking University HSBC Business School and feel the business model change of business education model and scientific and technological innovation; Visit the Huaqiang North Market in Shenzhen, and punch in the Z-generation tide to play the new international landmark of consumption. The delegation approached the future scientific and technological prospect of China, and further enhanced the consensus of Sino-foreign cooperation in interpreting the future development.
The "Double North" college student youth exchange program covers Beijing, Shijiazhuang and Shenzhen, and lasts for 8 days. It has the largest scale, the longest span and the richest theme among similar projects in the province. The project has received strong support from the National Scholarship Fund Committee, China Education Association for International Exchange, Hebei Education Department, Shijiazhuang Cultural Tourism Bureau and other departments. The project has further deepened the exchanges and cooperation between the two universities, and contributed to the normal university's efforts to show a comprehensive and three-dimensional contemporary China, cultivate Chinese and American youth exchange messengers, and promote the "two-way trip" of Sino-American cultural exchanges.
