ByteDance Doubao adds travel booking to AI chatbot

Doudou, has recently upgraded its functions and officially integrated travel services such as flight and train ticket booking, car hailing, and map navigation, trying to transform from a "chat assistant" to a "lifestyle service entrance".
According to the information, users can now complete the entire process of querying, comparing prices, placing orders, and refunding or changing tickets for flights and trains directly through Doudou, without having to switch to third-party platforms. The car-hailing function supports vehicle type selection and one-click calling. At the same time, Doudou has integrated navigation capabilities, providing route planning for various modes of transportation, including public transport and self-driving. In addition, the platform has launched a dedicated entry for travel guides, integrating recommended services for "eating, accommodation, travel, and sightseeing".
This upgrade signifies that Doudou is moving from a simple AI chat tool to a platform-level application that covers users' travel decision-making and execution cycle.
