Bridge of Hefei-Wuhan high-speed railway achieves closure

This aerial drone photo taken on Dec. 2, 2025 shows the construction site of a bridge of the Hefei-Wuhan high-speed railway over the Shanghai-Chengdu expressway in Jinzhai County of Lu'an City, east China's Anhui Province. The 1,940.57-meter bridge achieved its closure on Tuesday.

The railway line is part of China's high-speed rail network that centers around eight main vertical lines linking the north and south and eight horizontal lines connecting the east and west. With a designed speed of 350 km per hour, it will further improve the railway layout of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. (Xinhua/Zhou Mu)
