Xiamen is rapidly developing into an international consumption center, driving the growth of its fashion and consumer goods industry. A diverse industrial base, encompassing smart home products, food processing, textiles and apparel, and sports equipment, fuels this dynamic sector.
Xiamen has cultivated a complete smart home industry chain, from lighting and appliances to kitchen and bathroom fixtures, security systems, and home health products. The city leads nationally in smart home technology R&D, brand recognition, and industry influence. It is China’s largest production base for LED epitaxial chips, and one of the world’s largest manufacturing and export bases for high-end LED light bulbs. Xiamen is also a major global production center for bathroom products, with prominent companies like Golden Home, Lota, R&T Plumbing Tech, Solex High-Tech, Runner, Leelen Technology, DNAKE, and diiib.
Xiamen boasts a mature and diverse food processing industry with specialized sectors in alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, edible vegetable oils, convenience foods, snacks, pre-prepared meals, and fruit and vegetable processing. Well-known brands like Anjoy Foods, CR Beer, Luckin Coffee, Swire Coca-Cola, Yinlu Foods, Ruyi Sanbao, Yan Palace, and Gulong Foods contribute to the sector’s brand recognition and market influence.
Xiamen possesses a strong foundation and significant growth potential in textiles and apparel. The city hosts the headquarters and R&D centers of leading domestic sportswear brands such as Anta, Xtep, and 361 Degrees, fostering a unique headquarters economy. Xiamen’s women’s fashion brands, including JORYA, PORTS, Ms Min, and deepmoss, are known for their high-fashion aesthetic. With Xiamen-based designers representing a significant portion of the over 2,000 fashion designer brands on Tmall (ranking among the top five cities nationwide), Xiamen has earned the nickname “China’s Antwerp”, a reference to the Belgian city renowned for its influential avant-garde fashion scene and prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts.
Xiamen is Asia’s largest production and export base for sports and fitness equipment, and a major export hub for athletic shoes and apparel, sports eyewear, and outdoor gear. Fitness equipment is a leading export, with Xiamen producing six out of every 10 treadmills worldwide. Key players in this sector include OGAWA, Topkey, Everesports, Land America Health & Fitness, and K-power.
Development Priorities

• Adapting to evolving consumer trends in the real estate sector, Xiamen will promote the customized, intelligent, and green development of smart home products.
• Focusing on alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, traditional specialty foods, health foods, and pre-prepared meals, Xiamen will develop a roadmap for growth centered on product upgrading + model innovation + brand building.
• Catering to the increasingly diverse and sophisticated demands of apparel consumers, Xiamen will promote the high-end, integrated, and fashionable development of the textiles and apparel industry.
• Focusing on outdoor sports, competitive athletics, and home fitness scenarios, Xiamen will drive the portable, intelligent, and integrated development of sports equipment.

Dedicated Industrial Parks
Xiamen is accelerating the development of eight specialized industrial parks to support the growth of the fashion and consumer goods industry. 

• Huli and Siming Districts: Focusing on high-end supporting services such as consumer goods headquarters economy, fashion design, and e-commerce marketing;
• Haicang District (Xinyang Industrial Zone): Prioritizing smart home products and food processing;
• Tong’an District (Tong’an Industrial Concentration Zone, Light Industry and Food Industrial Park, Consumer Goods (Food) Zone): Focusing on food processing, sports equipment, and smart home products;
• Jimei District (Jimei North Industrial Zone, Smart Home Industrial Park): Prioritizing textiles and apparel and smart home products;
• Xiang’an District (Torch (Xiang’an) Industrial Zone): Focusing on food processing.
