A 15-year-long yearning! When this global traveler finally sets foot in China's Xinjiang

Jay Kerekes, Canadian content creator with Slovakian origin, embarked on a journey to explore the real Xinjiang. As a seasoned traveler who has visited over 100 countries, he set foot on the land of China's westernmost region for the first time, driven by years of curiosity about Xinjiang's natural scenery and cultural landscapes. During his stay in Kashi Prefecture, he wandered through ancient neighborhoods and modern water city, personally experiencing the harmonious blend of tradition and modernity in this land. From the enthusiastic dance music of the locals to the laughter echoing through the streets and alleys, Xinjiang's vitality and friendliness left a profound impression on him.

When sharing his observations, he candidly said, "You don't need to ask, you see with your eyes." He specifically pointed out that the positive and happy lives of Xinjiang's people were completely different from the descriptions in certain rumors. Whether it was the exquisite attire of the people or their love and preservation of cultural traditions, all showcased a vibrant and confident real Xinjiang. What moved him even more was that, despite the language barrier, the locals' friendliness and enthusiasm easily transcended it. "I found the answer," Kerekes concluded. This trip to Xinjiang allowed him to replace what he had heard in the past with what he saw with his own eyes, bringing a satisfying end to his 15-year-long curiosity.
