Mehari Mezekerta (Mez), from Eritrea and currently pursuing an International MBA at Renmin University of China, shared her profound experiences during her first visit to Xinjiang. She was not only amazed by the vastness of the region but also deeply impressed by the harmonious coexistence of cultural diversity, technological advancement, and ancient traditions.
During her trip, Mez witnessed how Xinjiang preserves its rich cultural heritage, such as literature, dance, languages, and religious practices, while also achieving remarkable progress in fields like new energy and modern agriculture. The rural libraries and eco-friendly sustainable development practices further revealed to her the foresight embedded in this land.
Mez summarized her journey with three keywords: diversity, harmony, and hospitality. As someone who has experienced Xinjiang firsthand, she extends a sincere invitation to the world: don't hesitate, Xinjiang is truly worth exploring and discovering for yourself.
