Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies aligned with the overall business objectives for the Japan base. Ensure smooth execution of daily operations while continuously seeking opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.
2. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and manage a team of local and potentially international staff responsible for various operational functions such as logistics, supply chain, facilities management, etc. Foster a positive work environment that promotes growth, collaboration, and high performance.
3. Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate and collaborate with senior management, external partners, vendors, and government agencies to ensure seamless integration of operational activities into the broader business ecosystem.
4. Cost Control & Budget Management: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and cost control measures for all operational areas. Identify and mitigate potential risks to profitability and ensure adherence to financial targets.
5. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to operations in Japan. Implement robust risk management frameworks to anticipate and address potential challenges.
6. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational processes. Leverage data analytics and insights to identify areas for enhancement and implement innovative solutions to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
7. Crisis Management: Establish and maintain crisis management protocols. In case of emergencies or disruptions, lead the response efforts to minimize impact on operations and safeguard personnel safety.
8. Cultural Sensitivity: Demonstrate deep cultural sensitivity and awareness when interacting with diverse stakeholders, ensuring respect for Japanese customs, values, and working styles.
9. Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies relevant to the company's operations in Japan. Provide strategic recommendations based on this knowledge.
10. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare comprehensive reports outlining operational performance, achievements, challenges, and recommendations for future actions.
As the Japan Base Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our operations in Japan by leveraging your expertise, leadership capabilities, and strong understanding of the local business landscape.

Requirements:
- Nationality: Japanese
- Fluent in both Japanese and chinese (written and spoken)
- Proven experience in operations management within a Japanese or multinational company
- Strong understanding of Japanese business culture and practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of industry best practices and trends relevant to the position's scope
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred
