Beijing Royal School (BRS) is affiliated with Beijing Fazheng Group, which serves as the umbrella company for Chengdu Royal Foreign Language School, Dalian Jia Hui Education Group, Yuncheng Royal School, Sanya City Vocational College Beijing Royal Integrative Medicine Hospital, and other institutions.
Established in 1996, Beijing Royal School (BRS) has emerged as one of the premier international schools in China offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, encompassing the Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). In addition to the IB curriculum, BRS is authorized to provide A-Level, A-S and IGCSE, OSSD, Pre-AP, and AP courses. In February 2021, BRS achieved full accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and in October 2023, BRS received the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Accreditation /Chinese International Program Accreditation for Senior High Schools (NEASC/CIPASH).
BRS offers comprehensive K-12 education through its various divisions: Beijing Royal School (Senior High School), Beijing Royal Experimental School (Primary to Junior High School), and Beijing Royal Kindergarten. Our institution currently serves approximately 2,500 students, boasts a Chinese faculty of 550 members, and employs around 70 foreign teachers. Notably, approximately 15% of our foreign teachers hold leadership positions within the school. BRS provides abundant professional development and various promotion opportunities as well as the possibility of transfers between Royal School campuses. BRS is the place where teachers can collaborate and communicate with education professionals from around the world.
Situated in Changping District, Beijing, BRS is a prime location with convenient access to public transportation, modern shopping facilities, and medical resources. Responsibilities:
Description of the Role
The teacher has the responsibility for delivering a high-quality teaching and learning programme, providing a safe, caring and supportive learning environment and for modelling the BRES mission in their work.
While teachers have primary responsibility for the children in their classes, they are also responsible for the care and safety of all students in the School.
Teachers who work for BRES are responsible for delivering a differentiated, inquiry-based learning programme and where students can demonstrate the values and principles of the IB Learner Profile. Teachers will recognize and value our host nation’s rich linguistic and cultural history and support the ethos of their school through their work. Teachers are expected to contribute to extra-curricular, community and service activities, in accordance with their contract and school requirements.
