China Agricultural University (CAU) is a leading university located in Beijing. CAU is listed in “985 program universities”, which includes the best 39 universities among more than 1,000 universities and colleges in China.

The International College Beijing (ICB) is one of 18 colleges of CAU. ICB is a pioneer in the field of international education among Chinese educational institutions. Under the collaboration with UK and US universities for more than 20 years, the British or American curriculum, teaching methods, and textbooks are adopted from UK and US to ICB. The program has been accredited by QAA in UK and NCA in US. Being a college with the English as teaching language, there are 1,100 undergraduate students taught by over 50 full time international faculties in the college in this academic year.

Responsibilities:

This is a full-time position to teach academic writing and/or communication courses to undergraduate Chinese students. These courses aim to develop the necessary skills - Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing- for students to write and communicate in the academic environment. Classrooms are equipped with multimedia facilities and teaching materials are English coursebooks.

The position starts with a half a year or one-year contract, beginning in September 2026, Contract is renewable.

This position requires the appointee to teach 16 hours per week in classroom and to provide office hours per course each week. The appointee will work with other teachers to update syllabus, set and mark coursework.

Qualifications:

Particularly we are interested in candidates who are:

1)English native speakers

2)Master or above degrees,

3)English teaching certification, e.g. TEFL, CELTA or TESOL,

4)College-level teaching experience,

5)Good communicator and team player with strong sense of responsibility

6)Good health and working full time,
