Located on the beautiful southeastern shore of Li Lake in Binhu District, adjacent to the scenic Changguangxi National Wetland Park—a national-level ecological wetland park—Boston International Pre-School and Boston Nursery Center span a total area of 15,500 square meters, with a construction area of approximately 16,000 square meters and an outdoor space of 9,900 square meters. The school consists of 28 classes and 12 multifunctional classrooms, with a capacity for 560 students. It offers a professional and exploratory learning environment for children aged 0–6, supporting diversified and high-quality extended education.
From its establishment, the school has formed a sister-school relationship with Boston International School (BIS), the only IB World School in Wuxi authorized to offer the full continuum of IB programmes from kindergarten through high school. Both institutions share high-quality educational resources.
BIPS’s curriculum is grounded in the educational philosophy of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and enriched with resources from Reggio Emilia-inspired approaches. By integrating a variety of advanced educational concepts, the school has innovatively developed its own unique curriculum that blends IB and Reggio Emilia principles. This solid foundation supports the implementation of BIPS’s high-quality programmes, inspiring children to engage with real-life situations, solve practical problems, and learn to observe, adapt to, and transform a changing world—ultimately nurturing them into confident, happy, and responsible global citizens.
Full time preschool homeroom teacher
Responsibilities:
1. Strictly abide by school’s regulations and rules, complete the work arrangements, writing the children's profiles, reports, etc. It is not allowed to be absent from classes without the reasonable reasons. All the teaching should follow the school’s teaching requirements and guidelines, if there any changes of the teaching, the co-Chinese teachers and the school need to be notified, and only can proceed with the consent.
2. Responsible for the English teaching work of the class and develop appropriate English teaching plans every semester which based on the actual English ability of the students.
3. All lessons should have clear aims and include activities that facilitate them. While the teaching, teacher need to fully observe the student to make sure the teaching methods and language using are suitable to the student’s level. Language is taught through the medium of variety activities and games. The full ability development of students needs to be promoted, (such as confidence, communication ability, teamwork….) Sharing the feedback of the kids’ study with the other teachers each week.
4. Cooperate with the Chinese teachers during the daily teaching, well communication is appreciated, helping the kids when they need in studying and school life with the Chinese teachers together.
5. Always patience to all the students, each of them need to be treated equally. Offering the help to the students’ student when they need anytime, especially the kids who are struggling during the studying.
6. Students should be encouraged to speak English and work together in the class and the daily activities. Teacher needs to interactive with kids in English all the time in different class activities apart from the Chinese learning time.
7. Work together with Chinese teachers every week to summarize the teaching feedback, discuss and develop the teaching plans and class work priorities for next week.
8. Cooperate with the Chinese teachers to help the students build their study and independent ability at school, create a good behaviour habit.
9. Communicate with the parents on time, giving them the study feedback of their kids often, giving the parents proper suggests of their kids’ learning. Making individually kid teaching plans with the Chinese teachers together with the student’s characteristics.
10. Work with the Chinese teachers to redecorate the classroom with the new monthly topic every month, prepare the new teaching tools to match the teaching topic.
11. Regularly discuses with other foreign teachers about the teaching methods and activities, sharing the teaching skills to support various types of activities during the language learning.
12. Teacher should actively participate in school’s trainings and workshops to improve self-teaching skills.
13. Fully cooperate with school’s marketing activities, such as the school Open Day, the majority of the time is on weekends. if there is special reason can’t make it, teacher needs to inform the school in advance.
14. All the suggestions which can help the development of schools is appreciated. Teacher is encouraging to give the suggests and creative ideas during the teaching.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above; Education major;
2. More than 2 years of teaching experience in the kindergarten.
3. Teaching Credential/License required;
4. TESL/TEFL Certificate over 100 hours;
5. TEFL/TESOL certification minimum (CELTA/DELTA/PGCE/QTS preferred);
6. Experience working with early years children, with IB PYP curriculum or Reggio familiarity preferred;
7. Have an understanding and ability to teach children of all abilities.
