Walton International School Xuzhou is the largest international school in Xuzhou, Jiangsu province. Belonging to the Chiway Education Group, we are one of 7 sister schools in Jiangsu, and as the school has grown in size we are looking for creative, motivated and talented teachers to join our faculty.

We are a K12 school that runs International Cambridge curriculums alongside the Chinese National Curriculum (CNC) for Primary to Middle school. Our International High School offers Cambridge IGCSE/ A Level courses with the aim of cultivating students interests and academic excellence in order for them to directly apply to universities abroad.

Responsibilities:

Roles & Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will have a wealth of experience teaching primary level students and/ or up. Focusing on an inquiry-based learning approach to holistically develop students, teachers will utilize engaging teaching material and project-based learning to get the most out of their students.
Teachers should be able to design and plan lessons to meet students’ needs, conduct bi-semester testing, set and mark homework, and be willing to work as part of a team of educators focused on developing their own skills sets and learning from one another.

Teachers will also be responsible for taking part in various school-based activities/ events, as well as our helping develop ECA programmes with the aim of engaging students’ interests and other abilities both inside and outside the classroom.

We are looking for teachers who have:
Excellent English & communication abilities
A passion for teaching/ learning
The ability to successfully teach reading/ phonics lessons

Workload: Maximum of 24 teaching periods per week (40- minutes p/period) + office hours from Monday-Friday

Qualifications:

2-year work experience (minimum) + references
Bachelor’s degree/ above
Pass Chinese Medical Check
Criminal Record Background Check
TEFL/ TESOL 120+ (Minimum)/ CELTA/ DELTA/ PGCE/ Degree/ Master’s in Education or other notified/ recognized teaching licences.
Aged 24-60
