About Company:

The Institute for Economic and Social Research (IESR) was founded at JinanUniversity in December 2015. Since then, IESR has been leading in economics education, research, public service, and international cooperation. Operating under the leadership of internationally renowned scholars, including Professor Shuaizhang Feng as Dean and Professor James Heckman as Chair of the Advisory Board, IESR currently has 33 full-time faculty members, many of whom are graduates of renowned institutions such as the University of Chicago, London School of Economics and Political Science, Northwestern University, and University of California, Berkeley. Research at IESR spans all major fields of economics, and undergraduate and graduate students receive rigorous training in economics. The Institute runs a Survey DataCenter for data collection and management and a Policy Research Center for policy analysis and evaluation.

The Institute for Economic and Social Research (IESR) at Jinan University invites applications for the position of English Language Specialist to support talent development and cultural exchange initiatives.

Job Details:

Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality English language instruction to students and faculty.
Provide academic writing guidance for research papers, dissertations, and grant proposals.
Assist in organizing international academic conferences, workshops, and cultural exchange programs.
Contribute to the broader mission of talent cultivation and cross-cultural understanding within the institute.


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
-Native English speaker
-Age: Under 60 years old (at the time of application).
-Education: Master’s degree or above (English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field preferred).
-Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience.
-Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.

Preferred Attributes
-Familiarity with Chinese academic culture or willingness to adapt.
-Experience in academic publishing or writing coaching.
