Job Description – Homeroom teacher or ESL Teacher (Kindergarten) in Chongqing

Location: Liangjiang/ Shapingba District, Chongqing, China

Job Type: Full-time

Students Age: 2–6 years old

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, weekends off (except occasional weekend events).

Responsibilities:

Teach spoken English to children aged 2–6 and organize interactive English activities;

Assist Chinese teachers in creating an immersive English environment (e.g., English corners, holiday events);

Foreign teachers use a variety of activities such as games, music, sports, and outdoor walks to help students learn and use the language in real contexts.

Prepare teaching materials and lesson plans, participate in curriculum development;

Communicate with parents and participate in open house events.

Qualifications:

Age 20–40 (exceptions for outstanding candidates)

Bachelor’s degree or higher (Education/English/Linguistics preferred)

TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate preferred

Clear criminal record + health check

Prior kindergarten teaching experience preferred

Energetic, patient, and passionate about play-based early childhood education

Monthly salary:

Native English speakers: ¥16,000–22,000/month (depending on experience & qualifications);

Non-native English speakers with clear pronunciation: ¥10,000–15,000/month (depending on experience & qualifications);

Housing allowance provided;

Paid public holidays + partially paid winter/summer breaks;

Work visa sponsorship available;

Family members accompanying the teacher are responsible for their own expenses.
