Job Profile:

Responsible for the synthesis, purification, and quality verification of peptide active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). Evaluates supplier-provided peptides for purity, identity, and impurity profiles, and supports process development for in-house synthesis where applicable.

Responsibilities:

Perform or oversee solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) and purification (RP-HPLC)
Conduct identity/purity testing using HPLC, LC-MS, and amino acid analysis
Audit and validate peptide APIs sourced from third-party suppliers against COA and pharmacopeial standards
Investigate impurities, degradation products, and synthesis-related contaminants
Liaise with contract manufacturers and testing labs on specifications and methods
Maintain documentation per GMP/ICH guidelines

Qualifications:

MS/PhD in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
Hands-on SPPS experience (Fmoc/Boc chemistry)
Analytical chemistry expertise (HPLC, LC-MS, CE)
Familiarity with USP/EP peptide monographs and GMP requirements
