Responsibilities:
Participate in all Montessori education and training requested by the class teacher and the campus leaders, including reading, attending instructional sessions, and practicing the lessons.
Follow the classroom expectations and standards for class management, role model respect and courtesy, and guide children behavior as directed by the Montessori teacher.
Display professional behavior throughout the whole school environment.
Participate in the preparation and care of the Montessori environment as directed by the Montessori teacher.
Prepare the English activities according to the Montessori standards for materials and lessons.
Follow the teacher’s educational planning for individual children. Meet with the teacher weekly, at a minimum, for review of children progress and to plan English lessons with the teacher. The Montessori teachers’ plans are based on scope and sequence in the Frameworks.
Maintain records on children’s activities and progress.
