Founded by Zizhu High-tech Park, Shanghai Shenghua Zizhu Bilingual
Schoolis a nine-year-through private school for primary and secondary education with
around 1500 pupils and 185 staff faculties. The School is dedicated to provide diverse
courses and development pathways, and now is a member of the East China Normal
University Educational Organization and the research and practice center of the Shanghai
Academy of Educational Sciences for private compulsory education. Current two campuses:
Zifenglu Campus and Tanjiatang Campus will be relocated to the Lanxianghu Lake Private
Basic Education Park in 2025.
Social studies teachers in middle school play a crucial role in helping students understand the world around them, including historical events, geographical locations, political systems, and cultural diversity.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
1.Instruction & Curriculum Development: Design and deliver engaging and informative social studies lessons that align with middle school educational standards and curriculum requirements. This includes topics such as history, geography, civics, and economics.
2.Student Engagement: Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including interactive lectures, group discussions, project-based learning, and multimedia resources, to foster student engagement and deepen their understanding of social studies concepts.
3.Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess students' progress through quizzes, tests, projects, and participation, providing constructive feedback to help them improve and meet learning goals.
4.Extracurricular Activities: Organize and supervise extracurricular activities, such as debate clubs, mock trials, or historical research projects, to extend students' learning beyond the classroom.
5.Curriculum Adaptation: Adapt lessons to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles, ensuring that all students have equal opportunities to succeed in social studies.
6.Professional Development: Stay informed about current events and trends in social studies education, participating in workshops, conferences, and online courses to continuously improve teaching practices.
7.Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support students' academic and social development, sharing best practices and addressing any concerns related to social studies education.
Qualifications:
1.Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education, History, Geography, Political Science, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
2.Certification: Valid teaching certification or license in Social Studies, as required by the state or country of employment.
3.Experience: Proven experience teaching social studies to middle school students, with a strong understanding of historical timelines, geographical concepts, and civic responsibilities.
