Job Profile:

The successful applicant will oversee professional, high-stakes examinations for adult learners. Invigilators are required to follow all procedures and instructions to protect the integrity and security of the examinations.
Examinations may be paper-written or computer-based so the successful applicant will have good computer skills as well as strong attention to detail.

Each exam lasts up to 5 hours, but you may be required to work up to 8 hours per day. Invigilators receive around 10 days' notice on upcoming assignments. Exams are usually held on a Friday.
You may also be asked to attend pilot testing sessions which involves inspecting exam centres for readiness.
This work is offered on a freelance or contractor basis and is not a full-time position. You will be responsible for your transportation to and from venues.

• Supporting test centre staff
• Communicating instructions to candidates

Qualifications:

Essential requirements:

• English language (spoken and written) *English is mostly used for recruitment & training.
• No past or current employment with any Oil & Gas companies
• Computer skills
• Able to communicate confidently, effectively, and professionally
• Able to demonstrate good organisational and administrative skills
• Accuracy / attention to detail
• Punctual / good time management
• Follows instructions confidently

Experience:
Prior invigilation experience is not required but may strengthen applications.

Benefit:

This is a freelance position, not a full-time role.
[Only for in-centre exams where applicable.] The invigilator will be required to travel to training centres in Almaty (please note that transportation costs are not reimbursed).
Rate: US$ 15.00 per hour [base pay is 5 hours]
Duration: Each session lasts between 5 to 8 hours, most taking place either mostly on Fridays.
While we cannot guarantee a fixed number of hours each month, we always strive to accommodate our invigilators’ availability and provide as many work opportunities as possible.
