Guangzhou City Construction College (GZCCC) originated from Guangzhou Spare-Time Architectural Engineering College founded in 1960 and run by Guangzhou City Construction Bureau. The college was taken over by Tianma Group in 2007 as an independent college authorized by the Guangdong Provincial Government and recorded in Chinese Ministry of Education.
The College consists of eight departments including Department of Architectural Engineering, Department of Mechatronics and Information Technology, Department of Economics and Management, Department of Arts and Design, School of Foreign Language and International Trade, Department of Humanities, Department of Entrepreneurship Education and Department of Continuing Education, with more than 17,500 students on the campus, providing 50 majors of Architectural Engineering technology, Mechatronics, Entrepreneurship Education, etc. The college offers featured engineering courses by six departments in architectural technology, architecture management, advanced manufacture, modern service and electronic information and art design.
The GZCCC made good records both in new students’ enrollment rate and new graduates’ employment rate. The new students’ enrollment rate reaches more 83% and the employment rate for the new graduates reaches 99%. In 2012, the GZCCC, ranking No.1 among private Vocational Colleges and No.2 in 53 both public and private vocational colleges in Guangdong Province in the six key factors, was honored “Outstanding Collegefor Graduate Employment”. In 2015, the college’s application for “Guangdong Provincial Model Colleges of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education” “Guangdong Provincial Model Colleges of Administering Colleges by Law”, and “Guangdong Provincial Model Colleges of Energy Saving” was approved by Guangdong Education Bureau after examination.
In recent years, the GZCCC takes great efforts in quality projects implementation, reformation, construction and development, which has brought the GZCCC to a new stage of development, with one national brand professional development project, two provincial brand professions, three key provincial professions, one apprentice base supported by Central Budget, five key provincial apprentice bases of provincial level, twelve quality one-line courses of the provincial level. All together, we got 81 quality projects of provincial level and above. The GZCCC has developed into the big vocational college with its feature in city construction profession and great performance in students’ cultivation.
