We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment and machinery used in construction, transportation, and other industrial operations. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on heavy-duty equipment
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks, loaders, bulldozers, excavators, and other machinery
Conduct safety checks and ensure all equipment meets regulatory standards
Use hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals to complete repairs
Maintain accurate service records and reports
Order and replace parts as necessary
Follow all company safety protocols and procedures
Work in various weather conditions and on different job sites as needed

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a heavy-duty mechanic or in a similar role
Strong understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
Valid driver’s license
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
Physical ability to lift heavy parts and tools, stand for long periods, and work in confined spaces

Preferred Skills:

Welding and fabrication experience
Familiarity with diagnostic software
Experience with fleet maintenance systems
