We are looking for a hands-on Head of Software Engineering to lead and scale our B2B technology platforms within the travel ecosystem. This role will own the architecture, delivery, and evolution of mission-critical systems that power our partner-facing products, including APIs, integrations, and distribution platforms.

You will work closely with Product, Data, and Business teams to build highly scalable, reliable, and performant systems, while driving engineering excellence and best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Engineering Leadership & Delivery

● Lead the end-to-end delivery of B2B platforms, APIs, and partner integrations

● Drive execution across multiple squads, ensuring speed, quality, and reliability

● Be hands-on in system design, architecture reviews, and critical problem-solving

Architecture & Scalability

● Design and build scalable, distributed systems to support high transaction volumes

● Ensure systems are resilient, secure, and performant

● Establish best practices around microservices, APIs, and cloud-native architecture

Engineering Excellence

● Define and implement engineering standards, coding practices, and quality frameworks

● Drive adoption of CI/CD, automation, observability, and DevOps practices

● Improve SDLC efficiency, release velocity, and system reliability

Stakeholder Collaboration

● Partner with Product and Business teams to align technology roadmap with business goals

● Work closely with external partners for B2B integrations and ecosystem expansion

Team Building & Capability Development

● Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams across levels

● Hire and develop Engineering Managers and senior ICs

● Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

● 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in leadership roles

● Mandatory experience in B2B platforms, APIs, and integration-heavy ecosystems

● Mandatory experience in travel tech (OTA, GDS, distribution, mobility, or hospitality platforms)

● Mandatory experience working in high-growth startup or scale-up environments

● Proven track record of building and scaling distributed systems / high-traffic platforms

● Hands-on expertise in system design, architecture, and modern tech stacks

● Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), microservices, and DevOps practices

● Strong understanding of data-driven systems, performance optimization, and reliability engineering

● Demonstrated ability to hire, lead, and scale engineering teams
