Founded in 1979, Squire Mech Pte Ltd (SM) is a leading service provider in the arena of M&E consultancy in Singapore. We provide complete and professional MEP consulting services in the field of residential buildings, complexes, commercial and industrial development areas, data centers, hotels, research institutes, schools, hospitals, recreation centers, recreational facilities, as well as renovation of existing buildings and preservation of old buildings. In 1996, we established our first oversea office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as we envisioned the need to extend our reach to clientele in Southeast Asia.

With more than 80 staffs in Singapore, SM has gained a wealth of experience through working on prestigious projects both nationally and internationally, laying a solid foundation for the outstanding completion of other major and small projects.

Our company emphasis on teamwork and support for professional engineers and designers at all levels to design modern, economical and sustainable systems enabled to complete entire projects with high quality, within budget and within a limited timeframe. The company continues to create designs that are both creative and commercially valuable to meet the needs of customers.

Squire Mech is proactive in promoting sustainable building design, both in Singapore and abroad, and we have many employees in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and China who are certified Green Mark Manager and Green Mark Professional Certificate by BCA Singapore.

Squire Mech (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was registered in 2004 and established branches in Beijing and Chengdu in 2006 and 2007 respectively. In 2022, due to its operational needs and adjustment of the company's strategic deployment and development, its wholly owned subsidiaries were established in Chengdu and Shanghai, and there are currently nearly 60 employees. In 2008, we established an operational branched office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

To-date, we have more than 180 employees globally and participated in more than 2500 projects worldwide that are either at design stage, construction or completed. Among these projects include large-scale mixed-use development, hotels, office buildings, shopping malls, serviced apartments, residential buildings, schools, warehouses, data centers, hospitals, factories, and more. Through participating in these projects, we have established long-term and good working relationships with many well-known local and foreign companies, well-known architect and interior designer included.





Squire Mech has completed many high-end hotel projects both in Singapore, APAC and China with an excellent reputation in the field of hospitality development. We are in the list of consultants of many well-known international hotel management groups at home and abroad, such as Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, Inter Continental, Banyan Tree, Accor etc. Hence, we are very familiar with the design standards and operational requirements of international brand hotels. We were also the MEP Consultant appointed by Hilton Group in the compilation and edit of their latest mechanical and electrical standards, green building and ESG guidelines.

Job Details:

Responsibilities:

1. Execute Assigned Project Tasks including:
a.Lead M&E system designs, including feasibility studies, design reports, conceptual layouts, and technical drawings.
b.Develop calculation reports for building services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
c.Review schematic and construction drawings from design institutes for compliance and accuracy.
d.Draft tender documents, technical specifications, and manage the bidding process (including tender reports).
e. Identify on-site technical issues: review drawings /material/equipment submissions, manage design changes, conduct inspections, and prepare detailed reports.
f.Oversee handover of M&E systems and compile deficiency lists.
g.Participate in technical discussions and meetings.
h.Conduct thorough technical investigations and submit findings.
i.Complete ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisors.

2.Support Project Management:
a. Attend design coordination meetings, stakeholder conferences, and site progress updates.
b. Liaise with clients, architects, structural engineers, quantity surveyors, and local design institutes.
c. Ensure timely delivery of M&E designs to meet project milestones.


Qualifications:

1. Educational Background:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
2. Professional Experience: 7 - 10 years of experience in M&E design, with proven proficiency in the field. Mandatory: Prior experience working as an M&E consultant.
3. Technical Proficiency: Expertise in using Microsoft Office suite, AutoCAD, BIM (e.g., Revit), and other M&E design - specific software.
4. Industry Knowledge:Solid foundation in M&E engineering principles, with in - depth familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Stay updated on the latest technological advancements and industry best practices.
5. Project Leadership:Capable of independently leading M&E design projects. Demonstrate strong initiative in researching and mastering complex technical topics.
6. Design & Problem - Solving Skills: Proficient in completing design drawings at all project stages. Skilled in coordinating with other disciplines and possess excellent analytical and problem - solving abilities.
7. Cross - Disciplinary Awareness: Understand the collaborative workflows among various disciplines during the project design process. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
8. Soft Skills: Display high levels of professionalism, reliability, attention to detail, and commitment. Possess strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
9. Language Proficiency: Fluent in both written and verbal English and Chinese, enabling seamless communication in bilingual environments.
