Peking Union Medical College (PUMC), founded in 1917, was the first medical school in China to offer an eight-year curriculum leading to an M.D. degree. It was merged with the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS) in 1957, a leading medical research facility. Responsibilities:

(1) Provide instruction in advanced academic English with an emphasis on academic English, esp. academic writing for PhD students, about 12 teaching hours weekly.
(2) Compile, edit, and update English textbooks and teaching materials.
(3) Engage in other teaching and academic-related work.

Qualifications:

(1) Native English speakers.
(2) Hold a master's degree or higher in linguistics, literature, or education; candidates with a medical background are preferred.
(3) 2 years’ relevant teaching experience; university teaching experience is preferred.
(4) Recognized language teaching credentials such as TESOL/TEFL/TESL/CELTA, etc.
(5) Competent in teaching advanced academic English, academic writing, and critical thinking.
(6) Passion for medical education, no academic misconduct.
(7) Abide by the laws and regulations of China and the rules and regulations of the CAMS PUMC; no criminal or other illegal record.

We offer a competitive remuneration package.
The hourly teaching rate is RMB 500 per contact hour. Based on the contracted teaching workload of 12 hours per week, your pre-tax monthly salary will exceed RMB 24,000.
