For instance, there will be sugar blowing—an ancient folk art where skilled artisans transform molten sugar into lifelike animals and intricate shapes. You can also try making traditional rice cakes, which symbolize “reaching new heights” in Chinese culture, embodying the hope for a better year ahead. Additionally, there will be woodblock printing, a traditional craft that captures the essence of ancient Chinese culture. You can choose Year of the Snake designs and create your own woodblock print to take home as a beautiful keepsake.
Beyond these, you can join in the classic Lantern Festival activities. Try your hand at lantern making, where you can craft your own colorful lanterns to light up the night. Participate in the traditional riddle-guessing game, where cleverly worded clues are written on lanterns, challenging your wit and creativity.
