Forget dusty thrift shops — Xianyu, Alibaba’s secondhand platform, has launched its first-ever flagship store in Shenzhen’s Futian District, and it’s part marketplace, part playground.
Opened in late 2025 at the Tianmian International Cultural and Creative Town in Futian District, the store is designed to attract young shoppers with a mix of curated secondhand goods, interactive zones, and AI-powered resale services — all rolled into one immersive retail experience.
Sell it your way
The store offers two resale models:
Consignment: Bring in items you no longer need. Staff use Xianyu’s AI to estimate market value. If you agree, it’s listed both in-store and online. Sales go directly to your Alipay. Unsold after two months? Pick it up or donate it.
Trade-In: Phones, tablets, and laptops can be sold directly to the store after evaluation.
Expect quality control: clothing must be in-season, accessories new with tags. Items like food, alcohol, supplements, and undergarments are not accepted for safety reasons.

Secondhand, reimagined
Xianyu is calling the space a “lifestyle hub for young people,” and early numbers back that up: 72% of members in the first week were aged 18–28, mirroring the platform’s online user base.
As China’s circular economy grows, Xianyu’s Shenzhen flagship shows how secondhand shopping can be stylish, social, and surprisingly entertaining.
