Precautions for traveling during Qingming Festival in Guangzhou

As the Qingming Festival holiday approaches, public travel demand is rising significantly. Guangzhou has rolled out a series of measures to ensure smooth travel during the holiday, which runs from April 4 to April 6.
From April 4 to April 6, small passenger vehicles (7 seats or fewer) will enjoy toll-free travel.

On April 3, metro lines will begin operations earlier to manage pre-holiday passenger flow. On April 6, Lines 1, 2, 3 (including the North Extension), 5, 7, and 8 will extend service by one hour.

From April 4 to 6, 21 "Qingming special routes" will operate, connecting key roads, such as Zhongshan 8th Road, Baogang Avenue, and Guangwei Road, to popular memorial sites. 
Bus routes will be temporarily adjusted during the holiday. The No. 2 substation of the Armed Police Hospital bus stop will be relocated to the No. 1 substation.
Route 333 will adjust its terminus from Daguan Lu North (Daguan Wetland Park) to the Junbo Bus Company's parking lot, with some bus stops, including Daguan Lu North (northbound) and Xilang (both directions), temporarily suspended.
Depending on passenger flow, additional buses and short-route adjustments will be made on routes passing major cemeteries. In response to late-night high-speed train arrivals at Guangzhou South Railway Station, night bus routes, including Night 20, Night 61, Night 79, Night 102, and Pan Night 5, will be extended for 20 minutes after the last train arrives.

Approximately 950 taxis will be deployed to meet late-night demand at major transport hubs like Baiyun Airport and Guangzhou South Railway Station.
In addition, during the Qingming Festival holiday, small passenger cars will not be charged on toll roads (including airport expressways, toll bridges, and toll tunnels) across China.
