Co-hosted by Foreign Talent Research Center, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China and Shanghai Municipal Talents Work Bureau, organized by Chinajob (www.chinajob.com), the 2026 Job Fair for Foreigners in Shanghai was successfully held on October 11th, 2026 creating an efficient face-to-face exchange platform for domestic employers and foreign job seekers in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region.

The event brought together 60 employers, including well-known enterprises and institutions such as China Media Group and ByteDance, as well as domestic universities such as Tianjin University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and Guizhou University. They attended on-site with more than 800 high-quality positions, attracting nearly 900 foreign talents from over 50 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, Russia, Italy, and South Africa to seek jobs on-site.
This was the event with the largest number of participating employers and on-site job seekers since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020. It achieved remarkable results, and both employers and job seekers generally spoke highly of it.

From the on-site matching, the event showed characteristics such as high-quality positions, strong person-job fit, and high communication efficiency. Booths of participating employers saw active inquiries and exchanges. Foreign job seekers communicated in depth with employers about job responsibilities, career development paths, compensation and benefits, work permits, living support, and other issues. More than 95% of participating employers received a large number of resumes from qualified, outstanding foreign job seekers and reached preliminary hiring intentions. According to feedback from talent, the on-site positions covered a wide range of fields and offered flexible forms. There was demand for professional technical, scientific research, and teaching positions, as well as positions suited to international communication, business management, and other areas, giving foreign talent greater room for choice. Many foreign talents said that through the event they could not only directly learn about the recruitment needs and development environment of employers in the Yangtze River Delta region, but also further feel the positive atmosphere of Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta in opening up and attracting and gathering talent. They hoped to have the opportunity to participate in more recruitment events targeting foreign talent.
In addition, relevant recruitment information will continue to be released on www.chinajob.com, providing more foreign talent with convenient online job-seeking services. Through the approach of “centralized offline matching + long-term online posting,” the event’s results will be further sustained and expanded, helping domestic and overseas talent who could not attend to continuously obtain job information, and also providing employers with a long-term channel for subsequent talent recruitment.
