Tropic City Guest Shift at Hope & Sesame

If the name didn’t give it away, the neon and flamingos and floral motifs certainly will. As Thailand’s first true tropical cocktail bar, a lot of Tropic City’s menu revolves, unsurprisingly, around rum. Known for its casual, cool vibe, this concept by Swedish bar professionals Philip Stefanescu and Sebastian De La Cruz is all about fun and good tunes (playlist courtesy of the latter’s other role as DJ), but not at the expense of properly made drinks. Head bartender Arron Grendon can mix you up a Welcome to the Jungle, the bar’s most popular rum concoction – a group of friends can even share cocktail ‘flasks’ meant for three to six people. Take in the drinks and be ready to dance the night away.
