Application of Foreign Nationals for Extension of L (travel) Visa

Eligible Applicants
Foreign nationals who travel in China on L visa.

Application Materials
(I) Valid passport or other international traveldocuments, including copies of the personalinformation page, the valid visa page, and the visapage with the latest entry stamp.
(II) Registration Form of Residence for VisitorsFrom Overseas.
(III) Visa/Stay Permit/Residence PermitApplication Form completed in black ink with arecent 2-inch bareheaded, full-face photo on awhite background
(IV) Those who are received by a travel agencyare required to submit a copy of the valid businesslicense of the travel agency in Wuhan and anofficial letter in Chinese from the travel aqency tothe Exit and Entry Administration Department ofWuhan Public Security Bureau. The letter shallinclude 1. Basic information about the applicant; 2.Itinerary and duration of stay in China: 3.Guarantee of living expenses during the stay inChina and compliance with Chinese laws
(V) Individuals are required to submit a travel itinerary and guarantee of living expense duringthe stay in China.
(Vl) Other application materials required by theexit and entry administration authority based onthe situation.
Note: All application materials shall be submitted in their original version for verification along with A4 copies.

Duration of Extended / Renewed Visa
The duration of stay may be extended by up to 30 days for a single stay.

Important Notes
(I) Applicants are required to be interviewed.Those who are under the age of 16, over the age of60, or suffer mobillity issues due to illness or otherreasons, or have a good record of previousstay/residence in China may have others file anapplication on their behalf. However, if the exit andentry administration authority requires aninterview, the applicant must attend it in person.
(II) The extension of visa is valid for the latestentry only and does not affect the number ofentries and validity period of the original visa, Thecumulative extended period of stay shall notexceed the duration of stay specified in the originalvisa. Upon visa renewal, the original visa becomesinvalid.
(III) Supporting documents provided by foreignnationals in languages other than Chinese forapplying for visa/stay permit/residence permitmust be accompanied by a Chinese translationfrom a qualified translation company in China
(IV) First-time applicants in China under theage of 18 who are foreign nationals of Chineseorigin or overseas Chinese are also required tosubmit their birth certificate, parents' passports,and proof of residence abroad.
(V) Individuals who have not canceled theirChinese household registration must do so beforefiling an application.

This notification shall be interpreted by the Exiand Entry Administration Department of Wuhan Public Security Bureau.
