The Royal Academy of Music, 1990s. During a rehearsal for Professor Jeffrey and his student Colin's upcoming concert, Nicholas — an autistic teenager with a childlike mind — bursts in and disrupts their crucial run-through.
Driven by an obsession to compose the perfect sonata, Jeffrey has been struggling to complete the final movement.
