The week isn't yet quite through, but we're already thinking about what to do in the coming week. Here are three (and one bonus) recommendations from us...
Fun – The Local's 2nd Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
Back for a second year running, The Local is doing a Christmas tree lighting ceremony for the masses of the capital next Saturday. There’s much more in store than just a tree getting lit, though. You’ll also have the opportunity to gorge on food and cookies, take part in a lucky draw, and get lit yourself on holiday drink specials.
The Local’s 2nd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is happening on Sat, Dec 7. Entry is free, but table reservations are recommended. Those who reserve a table and arrive before 8.30pm will receive a special bundle. Scan the QR code on the left hand side of the poster to reserve.

See – About Emotion & Painting Exhibition
Fanglang is filling its walls with new art, presenting portraits by artist Nadyia, whose work delves into emotion and how we perceive it. The exhibition kicks off this Saturday and goes until the end of December, and we couldn’t think of a better place to contemplate a bit of art in the hutongs – perhaps with a coffee or cocktail in hand.
About Emotion & Painting is showing from Sat, Nov 30, until Mon, Dec 30, at Fanglang. Entry is free. Read more here.
