A traditional lion dance welcome ceremony was also arranged, with auspicious lions adding to the festive atmosphere to warmly welcome young participants from around the world to CDUTCM.

Vice President Li Shenghong delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the university, extending a warm welcome to the young participants from various countries. He stated that the university, leveraging the China Scholarship Council's International Summer School program, has built the "Xinglin International" brand, which has become a "window" for young people around the world to learn about TCM and experience Chinese medicine. He expressed his hope that all participants would fully enjoy this summer journey in China, immerse themselves in the TCM culture of the Sichuan school and Tianfu culture, and use TCM as a bond to become ambassadors of cultural exchange between China and other civilizations, gaining a deeper understanding of the profound TCM culture and the diverse Chinese cultural heritage during their study tour.

Teacher Guo Yiping from the School of Pharmacy spoke on behalf of all the instructors. She introduced the featured courses offered at this summer camp, including TCM theory, Tuina and moxibustion, Tai Chi, dragon and lion dance, and calligraphy. She also stated that all instructors would provide careful guidance and share their knowledge throughout the program, and expressed her hope that the young participants would gain insights into the ancient wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine through hands-on practice and forge sincere and deep cross-border friendships through daily interactions.

Tagir Nizamutdinov, a student from Russia, spoke as a camper representative. He shared his long-standing curiosity about TCM and his excitement to cross borders to Chengdu, looking forward to systematically studying TCM theory, experiencing various TCM therapies firsthand, and visiting Chengdu's historical and cultural landmarks. He said he would bring back what he sees, learns, and feels at CDUTCM to his home country, sharing authentic stories of TCM and China with his family and friends, so that more people in his country can learn about the wonders of TCM culture.

University leaders, relevant departmental heads, and representatives from the teaching faculties presented university badges, 70th anniversary commemorative pins, and Tuina experience vouchers to the campers, expressing the university's sincere welcome to all participants.

This Xinglin International Summer Camp comprises three programs: the "TCM Culture Study Tour Group," the "Sino-Russian Youth Clinical Medicine Summer Internship Group," and the "Sino-Thai Youth Traditional Medicine Study Tour Group," funded by the China Scholarship Council's International Summer School program. In addition to theoretical study and clinical practice, the campers will also visit the TCM Museum, and take study tours to Panda Valley, Jinsha Site, Shuijingfang and other locations. Meanwhile, activities such as the "Xinglin Midsummer Night" teacher-student gala and the third Sino-Foreign Youth Traditional Medicine Forum will be held, offering a comprehensive experience of TCM's profound heritage, the vibrant everyday life of Chengdu, and the landscape of Chinese-style modernization.
