Application of Foreign Nationals for Extension and Renewal of F (exchanges,visits, study tours, etc.)Visa

Eligible Applicants
Foreign nationals who come to Wuhan for exchanges visits, study tours, etc

Application Materials
(I) Valid passport or other international traveldocuments, including copies of the personal informatior page, the valid visa page, and the visa page with thelatest entry stamp
(II) Reqistration Form of Residence for VisitorsFrom Overseas
(III) Visa/Stay Permit/Residence Permit Application Form completed in black ink with a recent 2-inch bareheaded, full-face photo on a white background.
(IV) Proof of lawful registration of the organization inWuhan that sent the invitation (no paper materialsrequired, as the police will verify it online).
(V) The original official letter in Chinese to the Exitand Entry Administration Department of Wuhan PublicSecurity Bureau from the organization that sent theinvitation, The letter should include ① Basicinformation about the applicant and the orqanization that sent the invitation; 2 Reason forapplication: including the details of activities inChina, the duration of stay in China, and entry-exit arrangements; ③ Guarantee of living expensesduring the stay in China and comoliance withChinese laws, (4 Date of leter issuance and the official seal of the letter provider
(VI) Other application materials required by the exitand entry administration authority based on the situation.
Note: All application materials shall be submitted in their original version for verification along with A4 copies.

Duration of Extended / Renewed Visa
(I) Those who apply for an extension of F visa mayapply for an extension ofno more than 180 days.
(II) Those who apply for renewal of F visa (includingthose holding F visa who apply for additional entries) mayapply for a zero/single/double/multiple-entry visa validfor up to 1 year with a stay duration of no more than 180 days. For foreign experts and scholars invited by China's key universities, research institutions, and well-known enterprises, as well as high-level manaqement and tech professionals recognized by the talent management departments or sci-tech innovation departments of city-level or highergovernments, foreign team members and researchassistants recommended by foreign nationals withsignificant contributions or with skills speciallyneeded in China, or other high-caliber foreigrprofessionals recognized by the talent authorities,a multiple-entry visa valid for up to 5 years with astay duration of up to 180 days can be issued uporpresenting invitation/recommendation letters ancsupporting documents from organizations thatsent invitations, relevant authorities, employers, or individuals
(III) For foreign nationals of Chinese origin, amultiple-entry visa valid for up to 5 years with a stayduration of up to 180 days can be issued uponpresenting supporting documents for exchanges,visits, or study tours in China, etc. and identificatiordocuments of foreign nationals of Chinese origin. Thecumulative duration of stay on the renewed visa shalnot exceed 1 year from the last entry into China

Important Notes
(I) Applicants are required to be interviewed. Those who are under the age of 16, over the age of 60, or suffer mobility issues due to illness or other reasons, or have a good record of previousstay/residence in China may have others file arapplication on their behalf. However, if the exit ancentry administration authority requires arinterview, the applicant must attend it in person.
(II) The extension of visa is valid for the latest entryonly and does not affect the number of entries andvalidlity period of the original visa. The cumulative extended period of stay shall not exceed theduration of stay specified in the original visa. Uponvisa renewal, the original visa becomes invalid.
(III) Supporting documents provided by foreignnationals in languages other than Chinese for applyingfor visa/stay permit/residence permit must beaccompanied by a Chinese translation from aqualified translation company in China
(IV) First-time applicants in China under the age of18 who are foreign nationals of Chinese origin oroverseas Chinese are also required to submit their birth certificate, parents' passports, and proof ofresidence abroad.
(V) Individuals who have not canceled theirChinese household registration must do so before fillincan application.

This notification shall be interpreted by the Exiand Entry Administration Department of Wuhan Public Security Bureau.
