Gold, pink and more: Explore Suzhou's autumn palette

Who says autumn in Suzhou is all about golden ginkgoes and red maples? As cool autumn breeze sweeps through the city, flowers and plants of all kinds of colors begin to appear. Together, they offer different shades of the season and Suzhou's most cherished autumn scenery.

Fringed Water-lily

Taihu Lake is currently carpeted with swaths of fringed water-lilies. The flowers resemble flecks of gold floating on the water, creating the illusion of a golden sea of flowers.

Sunflower

At the Moonlight over the Lotus Pond Wetland Park荷塘月色湿地公园, a large field of sunflowers turns toward the sun.

At the Jiangnan Botanical Garden苏州江南植物园景区, sunflowers are in full bloom. Their bright color adds a burst of warmth and energy to the season.
