A lantern fair blending the national-level intangible cultural heritage of Zigong lanterns with traditional Suzhou elements opened at the Suzhou Park yesterday and will run through January 3, 2026.
The south gate is decorated with two phoenix lanterns and numerous peony lanterns, symbolizing auspicious blessings. Walking further inside, visitors will be greeted with lanterns featuring diverse shapes: Tang-style female dancers, the God of Wealth, koi and plum blossoms. Every step reveals a new photo-worthy scene.
A food market is also open during the lantern festival.
