Come Ride Panda Musical Bus and Interact with “Pandas”

Departing from Chunxi Road and heading straight to the West Gate of Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, a bus in Chengdu features live interaction with actors from Panda the Musical throughout the journey. As China’s first cooperation project that integrates regular public transport and professional theater troupes, the pioneering immersive musical-themed bus—Panda Base Line 1 “Panda Musical Bus”—turns travel time into an opportunity for cultural enjoyment and weaves Chunxi Road, Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, and other urban landmarks into a flow of cultural display.

Dressed as “panda warriors”, professional actors travel with the passengers on the Panda Musical Bus and perform iconic scenes from Panda the Musical throughout the ride. The interaction between actors and passengers turns the bus into a “front row at a theater”.

Upon arrival at the research base, passengers who have purchased tickets for Panda the Musical can take a dedicated shuttle bus with the actors and directly head to the theater. A one-stop experience is now possible through “bus ride → giant panda viewing → musical performance”.
