Marquis of Haihun: A Life as King, Emperor, Commoner and Marquis — With a Tomb Preserving Han Dynasty Majesty

Liu He, the Marquis of Haihun, lived during the Western Han Dynasty and experienced a dramatic life as a king, an emperor, a commoner and finally a marquis. The exhibition features 108 artifacts and artifact sets from the marquis's tomb, including more than 20 valuable ones making their debut in Beijing after excavation and restoration. With exquisite craftsmanship and rich historical data, the exhibits illuminate the marquis's life and the economic system of that time, while also providing evidence of the ritual and ceremonial practices governing the Han Dynasty's nobility.
