Suzhou

Wujie Matro Boutique Center 无界美罗小奢中心 , a new shopping destination that offers visitors access to global products and cuisine, officially opened Sunday.

Located at No. 19 Beiyuan Road, the center is adjacent to the Humble Administrator's Garden and the Suzhou Museum. Covering an area of 25,500 square meters, it consists of 22 warehouse buildings dating to the 1950s and has been designated a national AAA scenic spot.

Pavilions representing the U.K., Australia, Italy and other nations showcase a broad mix of goods, including fashion, accessories, home décor, fragrances, cosmetics and cultural and creative products. More than 2,000 small and mid-sized brands from across the globe are available, with 70 percent making their debuts in China.

Powered by its self-developed "Wujie (Boundless) System," the complex aims to blur the lines between online and offline retail. Overseas brands can display just one sample item while selling nationwide. With sales forecasts and goods stocked in bonded warehouses, delivery can be completed in just one to two days after purchase.

Another highlight is the global cuisine area, where visitors can expect a culinary journey around the world. The Mediterranean Market offers jamón ibérico (Iberian ham) and Neapolitan pizza; Italian gelato brands Fruttini and Massimo have opened their first stores in China here, serving signature fruit gelato; other choices include Japanese cuisine, Australian coffee, Suzhou cuisine and more.
