on Tiexiang Temple Riverfront

The lantern show features five thematic sections ("A Thousand Lanterns Unfold," "Scales of the Floating Sky," "Starry Dreams of the Galaxy," "Eternal Blessings," and "Waves of the Cloud Realm."). Visitors can also enjoy a magical parade of a giant fish lantern over 3 meters tall, which highlights the prosperity and cultural traditions of ancient Chengdu, the Brocade City.

Temple Fair at Wuhou Shrine

The temple fair features the show of lantern sets and theatrical performances inspired by the legends of the Three Kingdoms period.

A multitude of programs, including lantern shows, ICH-themed performances, magic performances, kungfu shows, dances and a gourmet bazaar, will be put onto stage during the Spring Festival holidays, while interactive activities and folklore programs such as Lucky Draw, hot iron striking, arrow throwing, charcoal stamping and fan painting DIY sessions will attract participation of visitors during the time.

Fire Dragon Dance

at Huanglongxi Ancient Town

The ancient town will stage the new version of the traditional fire dragon dance at 19:00 every evening during the Spring Festival holidays. The show of this year will integrate local cultural elements and highlight local farming activities.

Chengdu has initiated the program of Spring Shopping Month that involves shopping venues around the city offering citizens and tourists a variety of engaging consumption opportunities and experiences during the Spring Festival holidays which last from Jan.24 to Feb. 13.
