This year's festival will showcase over 80,000 potted chrysanthemums and seasonal flowers across 10 themed exhibition areas, featuring 11 themed displays. Visitors will see over 60 artistic arrangements, 40 crafted displays, 42 chrysanthemum displays crafted by local universities, more than 500 chrysanthemum varieties, and over 1,200 pots of specialty chrysanthemums.
Meanwhile, the exhibition will combine chrysanthemums with cultural elements like dragon and peacock motifs, kapok, lotus, and bougainvillea as well as iconic landmarks in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, such as the Canton Tower, the Ruins of St. Paul's, and Hong Kong's Bank of China Tower.
A special highlight is the return of the northern chrysanthemum varieties with hundreds or even thousands of blooms on each plant, last seen at the event over 30 years ago, alongside towering chrysanthemum varieties standing at a record-breaking height of 2.3 meters.
In addition to the exhibits, the festival features over 20 cultural events, including a chrysanthemum planting activity, a workshop on creating chrysanthemum displays and more, engaging visitors of all ages.
