Extended Opening Hours of Museums

To better serve the public during the summer peak season, several museums in Suzhou have announced extended opening hours. The details are as follows:

Suzhou Museum 苏州博物馆 , Suzhou Museum West 苏州博物馆西馆 , and Suzhou Folk Customs Museum 苏州民俗博物馆

From July 1 to August 30, opening hours are extended to 8 p.m. (last entry at 7 p.m.). Closed on Mondays.

Suzhou Silk Museum 苏州丝绸博物馆

Every Saturday and Sunday in July and August, opening hours will be extended to 8 p.m.  (last entry at 7 p.m. ). The extended service covers the History Hall, Modern Hall, and Future Hall.

Suzhou Museum of Inscribed Stone Tablets 苏州碑刻博物馆

From July 1 to August 31, the museum operates from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (last entry at 7 p.m. ).

China Kunqu Opera Museum 中国昆曲博物馆

From July 1 to August 31, the museum operates from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Tuesday to Sunday (last entry at 7 p.m.).

Changshu Museum 常熟博物馆

From June 26 to August 31, the museum opens from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (last entry at 8:30 p.m.). Closed on Mondays.

Taicang Museum 太仓市博物馆 , Taicang Cultural Center 太仓市文化馆 , and Taicang Art Museum 太仓美术馆

From July 1 to August 31:

Taicang Museum: Open until 8:30 p.m. every Saturday.

Taicang Cultural Center: Open until 9 p.m. from Monday to Sunday.

Taicang Art Museum: Open until 8:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday.

Zhangjiagang Museum 张家港博物馆(长江文化馆)

From July 1 to August 31, opening hours are extended to 8 p.m. (last entry at 7:30 p.m.). Closed on Mondays.

Extended Opening Hours of Classical Gardens

From July 1 to August 31, five garden attractions (Tiger Hill, Couple's Retreat Garden, Canglang Pavilion, Keyuan Garden, and Yiyuan Garden) extend opening hours. The opening hours at night are 5:30 p.m.–9 p.m., with last admission at 8:30 p.m.

Extended Opening Hours of Libraries

From July 1 to August 31, the following areas open at 8 a.m.:

Suzhou Library 苏州图书馆(人民路总馆) : 2nd-floor self-study room, Digital Reading and Learning Center, and public areas.

Suzhou Library North Branch 苏州图书馆北馆 : 2nd-floor self-study area and 5th-floor self-study area.

Tiger Hill Summer Night Tour

This summer, the Tiger Hill 虎丘山风景名胜区 Night Tour runs from July 1 to August 31. Blending folk performances, traditional Chinese music, and a romantic sea of lanterns, the tour creates a seamless blend of daytime and nighttime experiences that epitomize Jiangnan's charm.
