Xiamen Tianzhu Mountain Forest Park is a 4A-level national tourist attraction, a national ecological tourism demonstration area and a national water conservancy scenic area. It is located in the Tianzhu Mountain State-owned Forest Farm in Dongfu Sub-district, Haicang District. It is adjacent to Jimei Guankou in the east, Dongfu Mountain in the south, Zhangzhou Jiaomei in the west and Zhangzhou Changtai in the north. The Metro Line 2 runs directly to the park. The forest coverage rate of the park exceeds 98%, with over 10,000 negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter. The water quality remains at Class II weakly alkaline throughout the year. There are nearly 650 plant species, including two national second-class protected plants and two key protected precious trees in Fujian Province. There are nearly 150 animal species, including more than ten national second-class protected animals and key protected wild animals in Fujian Province. As Xiamen's "green barrier", the park is known as "Xiamen's Back Garden" and was awarded the title of "Climate Wellness Site" in the first batch of "Fresh Fujian Climate Sites" in 2021.
The main attractions of the park can be summarized as "Three Threes and Two Twos", namely "Three Lakes" (Tianzhu Lake, Haoyue Lake and Liangli Lake), "Three Valleys" (Yulan Valley, Four Seasons Flower Valley and Big and Small Valleys), "Two Peaks" (Tianzhu Peak and Xianlingqi Peak), and "Two Temples" (Zhenji Temple and Longmen Temple), as well as other natural and historical cultural landscapes. The park offers interactive recreational projects such as "Fly Over the Jungle", "Jungle Magic Net", Tianzhu Boating and Shooting Experience Hall, creating an original ecological tourist scenic area integrating leisure, fitness, science popularization, sightseeing and entertainment. Based on the protection of forest resources, the park has developed ecological and three-dimensional forest tourism projects in line with its positioning as "a scenic spot for sightseeing, a large oxygen bar and a city back garden" in accordance with local conditions and with moderate development.
