Recently, the Hainan Provincial Tax Bureau of the State Taxation Administration announced that it has upgraded and optimized the tax appointment system in the "Hainan Tax Online" mini-program. The upgraded system now includes recognition features for multiple types of documents, such as foreign passports and permanent residence permits for foreigners. This enhancement aims to provide more convenient tax services to a broader range of taxpayers, including foreign nationals. The updated tax appointment system allows foreign nationals to book tax service appointments online just like Chinese residents, choosing the time and location that best suits them. This improvement addresses previous issues where document recognition problems led to multiple trips and long waiting times, thereby increasing the satisfaction and convenience for foreign taxpayers. An official from the Hainan Provincial Tax Bureau stated that the bureau will continue to deepen reforms under the "streamlining administration and delegating power" initiative. By leveraging information technology, the bureau aims to optimize tax collection and management services, providing taxpayers with comprehensive, multi-level, and high-quality services. Additionally, the bureau plans to enhance collaboration with local public security and social security departments to better meet the diverse tax needs of foreign nationals.
