Chengdu Introduces TCM Summer Relief Sightseeing Bus

Traveling on a cool, air-conditioned bus, passengers can visit three of Chengdu’s iconic destinations—Eastern Suburb Memory, MixC Shopping Mall, and Taikoo Li—and enjoy six free wellness experiences, including summer relief herbal drinks made from wrinkled giant hyssops, customized herbal sachets, and intelligent constitution assessments. The TCM Summer Relief Sightseeing Bus offers a convenient way to enjoy a refreshing blend of heat relief, city sightseeing, and traditional wellness practices.

Six Free Experiences
The TCM bus embraces a “light wellness” concept and makes traditional Chinese wellness practices more accessible by removing their complexity and professional barriers, allowing even young people and older residents with limited knowledge of TCM to easily participate in the experience. The bus currently offers six free programs covering drinks, hands-on activities, interactive games, and learning.

As soon as they board, passengers will receive a specially prepared herbal summer relief drink made from wrinkled giant hyssops, along with lotus leaves, chrysanthemums, and other ingredients that follow the medicinal and edible homology system, to beat the summer heat. They can freely experiment with more than ten herbal ingredients to make a personalized herbal sachet with exclusive wellness benefits. By wearing a smart wristband for a few minutes, passengers can receive a basic constitution assessment, along with everyday wellness tips. During the ride, passengers can also gently tap their shoulders and neck with a wellness mallet stuffed with Chinese mugwort to relieve fatigue from prolonged sitting. Other activities include TCM-themed interactive games and DIY TCM bookmarks. Together, they create a relaxing, pressure-free experience for friends traveling together, family outings, and leisurely trips with older relatives.

Three Iconic Landmarks
The bus’s route connects three of Chengdu’s most popular leisure destinations. The bus departs from Eastern Suburb Memory, passing through MixC Shopping Mall, and arrives at Taikoo Li. Along the way, passengers can take in the industrial-chic character of Eastern Suburb Memory, experience the vibrant energy of Chengdu’s central commercial district, and enjoy the fashionable, laid-back atmosphere of Taikoo Li. The bus offers a glimpse into Chengdu’s diverse character all in one journey.
