10 Suzhou restaurants listed on 2026 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide

The 2026 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide was released recently. A total of 10 restaurants in Suzhou made the list, all receiving a one-diamond rating. Among them, two appeared on the list for the first time: CHAI 8 HOUSE and Kinghiwa Pingjiangsong.

The Black Pearl Restaurant Guide, first issued by Meituan and Dazhong Dianping in 2018, selects restaurants based on the criteria of culinary excellence, service environment and heritage innovation. Anonymous judges, acting as ordinary diners, visit restaurants to evaluate them, forming the primary basis for the rankings. The listed restaurants fall into three categories according to different social scenarios: one-diamond restaurants are for gatherings, two-diamond restaurants are for anniversaries and three-diamond restaurants are must-try.
