The PiovanGroup Asia Headquarters and New Factory Opening Ceremony took place in Suzhou New District on January 15.
Established in 1934, the Italian auxiliary equipment group Piovan has set up 14 production plants in more than 70 countries. The new headquarters in Suzhou will become the headquarters of all the company's branches in Asia. With its most updated technologies, the Suzhou headquarters will be dedicated to the manufacturing of ancillary equipment for processing food and polymers.
An opening ceremony of Nexteer Automotive (Changshu) Co., Ltd. was held on January 15. Nexteer's first dual-pinion electric power steering systems products in the Asian-Pacific region were also shown at the event.
With a total investment of $300 million and equipment investment of about 1 billion yuan (about $136,4 million), the Changshu campus features new production bases for intelligent steering systems and the engineering technology R&D center. After reaching design capacity, the campus is expected to produce 1.5 million sets of products featuring intelligent steering systems, generate an annual sales value of approximately 5 billion yuan (about $682 million), and pay around 250 million yuan (about $34.1 million) in tax.
Danfoss opened its newly upgraded Application Development Center (ADC) in Suzhou Industrial Park on January 14.
Headquartered in Denmark, Danfoss is a global leader in electrification, digitalization and intelligent manufacturing fields. Revolving around digitalization and green solutions, the upgraded Suzhou ADC boasts areas for developing, testing, and demonstrating applications in digitalization, electrification, comprehensive testing, IC series platforms, naval architecture, ocean engineering, and motion control. It provides services for customers and partners in shipbuilding, food, beverage, paper, textile, metal, petrochemical, and logistics industries.
A signing ceremony of the renewable energy project between Aden Energies and Suzhou New District was held on Monday this week. The project aims to build a headquarters in Suzhou and expedite the development of photovoltaic projects across China.
Starting in France, Aden Group is a multinational enterprise dedicated to managing, digitalizing and optimizing the decarbonization of the built environment. Last year, Aden Group inked a $100 million deal with Suzhou New District for an automobile equipment industrial park.
